Our therapeutic aim is to extend the skills of each individual according to his/her ability.
Pupils and students have an active part to play in the school and their opinions and views are taken into account through formal and informal means.
At St Dominic’s School we believe that a close working relationship with families is one of the keys to making progress
We are a team of qualified Occupational Therapists who work across the whole school.
We support pupils and students with all aspects of their functional independence, from organisation of belongings and equipment to travel skills and readiness for work. We also work on the development of gross and fine motor skills and sensory modulation using a range of specialist equipment and our two dedicated Sensory Intervention Rooms.
We also have a team of Therapy Assistants who work alongside our Therapists to deliver interventions.
