Remembrance Day 2022

By Support - November 13th, 2022 | Posted in News

On Friday 11th November, we celebrated Remembrance Day. During our morning Tutor Time, we reflected on the day and shared research to help us work out, what is Remembrance Day and why is it celebrated?

In Lower School, a handful of pupils were able to share their own family war time stories, which really brought home why we celebrate Remembrance Day.

In Upper School, pupils and staff gathered in the Chapel Gardens at 10:55am to observe the two-minute silence, listen to poetry and each pupil had the opportunity to “plant” one of our ceramic poppies, made by our incredible Art Department.

Pupils and students showed exemplary behaviour and were very respectful. We are always so proud of the way in which our pupils and students conduct themselves at events like this and how much insight they can show when discussing such topics.
