Nature, nurture, and new adventures at The Green Hub

Last term a group of pupils from St Dominic’s School enjoyed their time at The Green Hub, a warm and welcoming charity in Surrey that supports young people aged 10-18 with their social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Pupils enjoyed taking part in all the hands‑on activities. They took great pride in caring for the animals, learning to handle each one with patience and responsibility. Whether feeding, cleaning, or simply spending quiet moments with them, the pupils quickly formed gentle routines that brought confidence and calm.

Out in the garden, they rolled up their sleeves and explored the world of horticulture. Digging, planting, watering, and nurturing the space around them, they developed practical skills and discovered the joy of watching something grow through their own effort.

By the end of the term, the group had learned new skills, completed a course and enjoyed the calm of the outdoors.
