Lockdown Photography Competition Winners

We are delighted to announce the winners of the St Dominic’s school lockdown photography competition! We were absolutely inundated with entries from pupils and students, and the level of originality and thought that went into the photos we received really was stunning.

The staff team were shown all of the entries and voted on the ones that they liked the best. Many staff commented on how tough the decision was because the overall standard was so high.

The winning entry was this photo from Blake in Year 8:

The runner-up was this from Ethan in Year 13:

And third place went to Archie in Year 7 for this photo:

Certificates and prizes were sent home to Blake, Ethan, and Archie. Below are photos of Blake and Archie with theirs:

We are currently in the process of putting up a display in the main house entrance hall to showcase all of the entries that we received to those who visit the school, to show the exceptional creativity and talent that our pupils and students undoubtedly have. A huge well done to everyone who entered!

The residential special school provides highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good. The actions of the school contribute to significantly improved outcomes and positive experiences for children and young people. Ofsted – March 2019
