Job Description
Further Information
St Dominic’s School is part of Orchard Hill College & Academy Trust (OHC&AT), a specialist Trust with 12 Academies and seven College Centres across London, Surrey and Sussex.
We are a special school in Surrey and provide education for pupils and students aged 7-19, typically with a primary diagnosis of Autism or social communication difficulties. Our school is located in the beautiful village of Hambledon, close to Witley, Milford, Guildford and Godalming. We have views of the Surrey hills and plenty of outdoor space, including access to the common and a Forest School site. Please visit https://stdominicsschool.org.uk/ for a virtual tour of our school.
Whilst we value the history of our site and main building, we are also in the process of modernising our environment and we have a number of exciting projects underway, including a refurbished therapy provision and a second Sensory Integration Therapy room.
At St Dominic’s School we believe that all pupils and students should leave our setting ready to ‘achieve ambitious goals and live life to the full’. Our therapists are integrated into the wider staff team and have created a bespoke Needs Led Curriculum that includes dedicated curriculum time to developing pupil and student social interaction and functional independence. We also have a strong emphasis on ensuring quality of life for both pupils and staff and are launching a comprehensive piece of work to ensure that emotional and mental well being are at the heart of what we do.
