Introducing Blu – our Lower School Principal for the Day!
On Thursday 19th March, Blu took on the role of Principal for the Day, having won the credits prize draw. As part of this experience, Blu planned a number of changes to the school day for all Lower School pupils.
Here were his plans for the day:
▪ Lower School Assembly: Blu began the day by leading a Lower School assembly to explain the changes he has made and to introduce a special credits scavenger hunt.
▪ Credits Scavenger Hunt: Pupils had the opportunity to take part in a scavenger hunt across the day, with a top prize of 100 credits for the lucky winner.
▪ Extended Break Times: Pupils enjoyed extra time outdoors with an additional 10 minutes for morning break and an additional 10 minutes for lunch.
▪ Breaktime Treat: Blu chose mini croissants to be available for pupils at morning break.
▪ Lunch Menu Change: The lunch menu included cheese and tomato pizza and ice cream.
▪ Non-Uniform Day: Pupils could leave their uniform at home and wear their own clothes for the day.
▪ Teacher “Dress Weird” Challenge: Blu requested that teachers come to school dressed a little differently for the day – examples might include funny headbands, silly socks, or other playful accessories. (pics attached)
▪ Optional Teacher–Student Swap: Pupils and teachers had the option to swap roles for part of a lesson, giving pupils the chance to try teaching.
It is fair to say, Blu was a natural and everyone had a great time!
