Welcome from the Chair
Thank you for making contact with the school. My name is Ken Cowdery. I joined the school Governing Body in December 2010 and have acted as Chair since September 2012.
Our role as Governing Body is to set strategic direction, to hold school leaders to account for improving performance and to make sure money is well spent. We want to see the school achieve its vision to give every child and young person the best chance to fulfil potential, to achieve ambitious goals and to live life to the full. If you are interested in becoming a governor do please contact us. We would be very happy to tell you more about this voluntary but very rewarding role.
In November 2017, the school was judged to be a “Good” school by Ofsted. The Governing Body and the Principal are firmly focused on leading the school to ‘Outstanding’ as quickly as possible.
Elsewhere on the school website you will gain a greater insight into our services and other information about the school. If you are interested in a placement at the school, our Admissions and Family Liaison Manager provides a dedicated contact for all parents and carers.
The school likes to maintain good dialogue with parents/carers and the Governing Body welcomes feedback from all. We take the opportunity to chat with parents/carers at school events and also pay close attention to questionnaires as well as feedback from both Parent Forum and Student Voice.
Please do not hesitate to provide us with comments to assist our improvement journey or to seek further information about the school.
