Year 7 students discover new talents in multicultural week!

13th October 2014

Congratulations to all the Year 7 pupils who demonstrated a real flair for counting up to ten in a range of different languages. They have taken to it like a duck to water, which is just as well given the weather this week!

Collaboration between the Maths, ICT and PE Department meant that students were able to create their own map of the school grounds. They then used these to create their own orienteering course which other year groups enjoyed completing.

Well done to all the other students and pupils who have taken an interest in learning about other countries. Next week students will have the opportunity to test their knowledge about the different countries by completing a multicultural quiz during form time.

The changes to the weekly menu also proved to be very popular, but Wednesday’s American- themed day proved to be the best by far. The chocolate brownies were simply the best!

Finally, congratulations to all the Year 7 students who managed to collect fifteen stickers on their passports.  In recognition of their achievements they were awarded a certificate and a gold medal.
