St Dominic's to mark Armistice Day

11th November 2015

On Monday, 9th November there will be a special assembly, when we will be joined by World War 2 veteran Ken Watson.

Mr Watson, who has featured in the news on a few occasions over the past year, will share with the school his personal story and experiences of WW2, with a focus on the importance of remembrance and British values.  Mr Watson will be accompanied by his friend, Rosemary Lever, who will speak on his behalf.

Our pupils and students have been busy making ceramic poppies which are being sold in aid of The Royal British Legion.

On Wednesday, 11th November our pupils, students and staff will attend a short ceremony around the flagpole in the Chapel gardens to observe the 2 minutes silence and plant the poppies in our poppy-shaped flowerbed.
