Cleaning for the Queen
25th April 2016
On the Queen’s birthday, pupils in Key Stages 2 and 3 took part in a national initiative to tidy the local environment in honour of her majesty.
Everyone entered into the spirit of the challenge, and the school site continues to look tidy and welcoming.
Once the hard work of cleaning was over, all staff and pupils were rewarded with cake. Our talented kitchen staff made four cakes – two birthday cakes for members of staff, a gluten & dairy-free cake, and a giant union jack cake.
Staff and pupils played rounders, a game of ‘pin the crown on the Queen’ (paper crowns were used instead of blindfolds), and ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’.
